Biography
Ahmed Awad, M.D., is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern. He specializes in epilepsy, including drug-resistant epilepsy, with an interest in advanced neurophysiological evaluation and care.
“I am passionate about helping children with neurological problems, especially children with epilepsy,” he says. “I take care of my patients as if they were my own family.”
Dr. Awad earned his medical degree from Mansoura University Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He then completed a residency in Pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. He also finished a residency in Pediatric Neurology and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, with a focus on EEG and epilepsy, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Awad’s research interests include pediatric epilepsy and drug-resistant epilepsy.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Awad enjoys biking and traveling with my family.
