Alexis Inabinet Clyde, PhD, ABPP

Biography

Alexis Clyde, Ph.D., ABPP, is a Pediatric Psychologist at Children’s Health℠ and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern. She is the co-developer and lead psychologist for the Children’s Health Early Childhood Mental Health Clinic where she has provided care for more than a decade. This center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluations for children ages zero to five with behavioral, social, emotional, developmental and attachment difficulties. 

“My patients are the best part of my job,” she says. 

Dr. Clyde earned her Ph.D. in Medical/Clinical Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then completed an internship in psychology at the Florida State University Multidisciplinary Center and a fellowship in psychology at Children's Medical Center Dallas. She is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board of Assessment Psychology. 

Actively involved in research, Dr. Clyde studies the interplay between autism and gender diversity, performance-based evaluation techniques, the validity of self and parent-reported data and mental health evaluations with preschool-aged children.
