Betsy Bourgeois Dehart, PNP $$

Betsy Dehart, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner who cares for children and families at Children’s Health℠. She has a clinical interest in treating children with asthma and allergies. Dehart is passionate about treating children and supporting families through each stage of life. As a practitioner for over 17 years, she enjoys caring for those she serves and building long-lasting relationships. She is licensed through the State of Texas Board of Nursing.

It’s a privilege to work with children and their families and help parents understand the different phases their kids will go through.

Dehart received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in Shreveport, LA. She earned her Master of Science from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. While in school, she was a Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society member. 

Dehart has extensive experience in primary care, which includes working to keep kids healthy as they grow. She provides wellness exams, health maintenance, acute care and support and referrals for chronic conditions. She worked as a Charge Nurse at Shriners Hospital for Children and Brentwood Psychiatric Hospital, and served children with orthopedic issues, psychiatric conditions such as depressive episodes, oppositional defiant disorders, substance use and suicidal ideation.

Dehart lives in the metroplex area and says she particularly enjoys providing care to families throughout Dallas. “It’s a privilege to work with children and their families and help parents understand the different phases their kids will go through. I also enjoy supporting children on their journey to good health,” says Dehart. 

She enjoys spending time with her family and being involved with her kids’ school activities.
