Biography
Jo-Ann Nesiama, M.D., is a pediatric emergency medician physican at Children's Health and a Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Nesiama earned her medical degree at the University of Benin School of Medicine in Nigeria. She completed a residency in general pediatrics at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she served as Chief Resident. She gained advanced training through a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s Wisconsin; during her fellowship, she also earned a master’s degree in epidemiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Nesiama's research interests include outcomes of pediatric trauma, medical education, healthcare delivery in pediatric patients, and international health.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Nesiama enjoys traveling, walking for health, and spending time with family and friends.
