Biography
Lynn Mahony, M.D., is a cardiologist at Children’s Health℠ and a Professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
After earning her undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her medical degree at Stanford University, Dr. Mahony completed a cardiology fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Mahony’s clinical interests include multicenter trails in pediatric cardiology, Marfan syndrome, congestive heart failure, single ventricle patients, cardiovascular evaluation of student athletes and treatment of myocardial dysfunction.
For more than 15 years, Dr. Mahony has chaired the Pediatric Heart Network, a NIH-funded collaborative that conducts research leading to evidence-based treatment options for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. Her specific research interests include connective tissue disorders associated with aortic dilation, such as Marfan syndrome, congestive heart failure, single ventricle patients, clinical trials and quality of life in pediatric patients with heart disease.
She was included in D Magazine's Best Doctors list and was named a Super Doctor by Texas Monthly.
