Biography
Maha Yousif, M.D., is a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She has a special interest in caring for children, teens and young adults with disorders of growth and puberty and thyroid disorders.
“My passion for pediatric endocrinology stems from a deep commitment to improving the lives of children facing a myriad of hormonal disorders,” she says. “I am drawn to the field’s unique blend of long-term patient relationships, evolving scientific discovery, and the profound impact that early interventions can have on a child’s growth, development and overall well-being.”
Dr. Yousif attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She then completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UT Southwestern - Children's Medical Center.
Actively involved in research, Dr. Yousif has played a key role in studies aiming to improve outcomes and reduce complications in children with type 1 diabetes and other endocrine disorders.
Outside of work, Dr. Yousif enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and traveling.
