Biography
Malika Gupta, M.D., is a Pediatric Allergist at Children’s Health℠ and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern. She is the Director of the Food Immunotherapy Program at Children’s Health , which offers immunotherapy to childre n with IgE-mediated food allergies. She has a special interest in diagnosing and managing food allergies, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE).
“I'm passionate about the evolving field of allergy care,” Dr. Gupta says. “From immunotherapies to biologics, we're now able to offer more personalized and effective treatments than ever before. Partnering with families to tailor care and build lasting relationships is what makes this work truly meaningful.”
Dr. Gupta completed medical school at Kasturba Medical College. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
In addition to her clinical work, she remains actively involved in food allergy research, with particular expertise in food allergy treatment options and food protein–induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES).
Outside of work, Dr. Gupta enjoys spending time with her daughter and doing Pilates.
