Biography
Mayank Verma, M.D. and Ph. D., is a pediatric neurologist at Children’s Health℠. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at UT Southwestern. He is passionate about caring for children who have neurological disorders, including children with epilepsy such as genetic epilepsies and neuromuscular disorders such as congenital myopathy.

Dr. Verma earned his combined medical degree and doctorate from The University of Minnesota. He then completed residencies in Pediatrics and Child Neurology and a fellowship in gene therapy, all at UT Southwestern - Children's Medical Center.
Actively involved in research, Dr. Verma has published and presented on many areas of pediatric neurology. These areas include epilepsy, neuromuscular and neurogenetic disorders which identify specific biomarkers and treatment strategies that have potential to help develop life-changing gene therapies for children.
When he is not working, Dr. Verma enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.
