Biography
Sara Moore, DNP, APRN, PPCNP-BC, CPNP-AC, NNP, EBP-C is an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner with the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence, an academic leader and nationally recognized evidence-based practice (EBP) expert. She serves as the Program Director for Nursing Evidence-Based Practice at Children’s Health℠ and maintains a faculty appointment at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation. With over three decades of pediatric nursing experience, Dr. Moore has held clinical roles in foster care, trauma, hematology/oncology, neonatal care and emergency services.
“I believe in providing holistic, compassionate care that addresses not only the medical needs of children but also their emotional and developmental well-being,” she says. “I value building trusting relationships with children and their caregivers.”
Moore earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilkes University and her Master of Science in Nursing with focus in Primary Pediatrics, Acute Care Pediatrics and Neonatal from the University of Texas at Arlington.
“I am deeply passionate about advancing evidence-based practice in pediatric nursing, improving health outcomes for children in vulnerable populations and mentoring the next generation of nursing leaders,” she says.
Moore has earned many awards for nursing excellence, including DFW Great 100 Nurses, Texas Nurses Association 25 Outstanding Texas Nurses Award, D Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award and DFWChild’s Mom-Approved Pediatric Health Provider.
