Biography

Shai Rozen, M.D., is a plastic surgeon at Children’s Health℠ who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery and is a Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Rozen completed his general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and completed his plastic surgery fellowship in a combined program with Johns Hopkins Hospital/University of Maryland in shock trauma and continued specialty fellowship training in craniofacial surgery and peripheral nerve surgery.

In his reconstructive practice, Dr. Rozen has trained extensively in craniofacial reconstruction and microsurgery, enabling him to address both bony and soft tissue problems in the face.

“These patients are devastated from the inability to move their face. By transferring muscles and nerves into the face, we restore some of the motion that has been lost,” he says.

Dr. Rozen is board certified in plastic surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He speaks both nationally and internationally and is involved in funded clinical research often involving multiple specialties.

Dr. Rozen was born in Israel and lives in Dallas. He enjoys traveling in the U.S. and abroad, developing new relationships with colleagues from different countries and scuba diving.
