Biography

Stephanie Ghaleb, M.D., is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Health℠ and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern. She specializes in congenital heart diseases, pediatric heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and pediatric heart transplant.

Dr. Ghaleb earned her medical degree with distinction from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. She then completed a residency in pediatrics at Texas A&M - Driscoll Children’s Hospital, followed by a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She then pursued an advanced fellowship in pediatric heart failure and heart transplant at UT Southwestern/Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Dr. Ghaleb holds a certificate in clinical and translation research from the University of Cincinnati and is actively involved in research to improve pediatric heart care. Her research focuses on improving pediatric heart donor availability and utilization, as well as database research to improve quality and outcomes in pediatric heart failure transplantation and mechanical support. Dr. Ghaleb also focuses on exploring new methods for diagnosis of rejection in pediatric heart transplant, and quality improvement initiatives for patients with heart failure and heart transplant.

Outside of work, Dr. Ghaleb enjoys international traveling, running and spending time with her family.
