Biography
Surendranath Veerem Reddy, M.D., is a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Health℠ who specializes in interventional cardiology. He is also a Professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
After earning a medical degree from Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary, India, Dr. Reddy completed his cardiology fellowship through Wayne State University at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Detroit Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in pediatric cardiology and by the American Board of Internal Medicine in adult congenital heart disease.
Dr. Reddy received advanced interventional cardiology training at Children’s Medical Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
His research interest include pediatric and adult congenital heart disease, radiation-free MRI-guided cardiac catheterization procedures, Fontan-Single ventricle palliation, and lymphatic interventions. In addition to numerous published studies and ongoing research, Dr. Reddy is working on a project concerning the use of biodegradable stents in congenital heart disease and Fontan-Single ventricle palliation.
