Biography
Suzanne Dakil, M.D., is a Pediatrician with the Referral and Evaluation of At Risk Children (REACH) Program at Children’s Health℠ and an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical interests include identifying child physical abuse and human trafficking, as well as educating medical professionals and community agencies.
“Every day, I get to work with other medical professionals and community partners to ensure that children are surrounded with as much love, care and nurturing as possible,” Dr. Dakil says.
Dr. Dakil earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Dakil is a member of the executive council of the Ray Helfer Society, a society of physicians seeking to provide leadership to enhance the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Dakil enjoys reading and Pilates.
