Biography
Yu-Guang He, M.D., is an ophthalmologist at Children’s Health℠ who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vitreoretinal disorders, both acute and chronic in nature. He is a Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and serves as Director of the Vitreoretinal Fellowship Program.
Dr. He received his medical degree at the Tongji Medical University School of Medicine in Wuhan, China, where he also completed a master’s degree in immunology and his residency in ophthalmology. In 1988, he began a research fellowship in corneal disease and immunology in the Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern.
“I love the active, problem-solving aspects of ophthalmology,” says Dr. He. “I can see what’s causing my patients’ vision problems and put together a customized treatment plan for the patient. There’s been incredible progress from just 10 years ago, and I look forward to helping many more patients get through acute and chronic retinal problems.”
Dr. He is board certified in ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Texas Chinese Physicians Association and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Dr. He has been named both a D Magazine "Best Doctors in Dallas" and a Texas Monthly Super Doctor.
