Great Place to Work Certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience. Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply to be Great Place to Work-Certified, and fewer than half of applicants receive this honor. In 2024, after exceptional employee feedback and independent analysis of our company culture and workforce, Children’s Health was awarded Great Place to Work Certification.

Children’s Health has been recognized as a Top Workplace 10 times, with consecutive annual wins since 2020.
ANCC Magnet Recognition
Highest National Recognition Granted to a Hospital or Medical Center for Excellence in Nursing
Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Children’s Medical Center Plano are designated as a Magnet organization by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®. Only 10% of U.S. hospitals are Magnet-designated, and only 3% of U.S. hospitals have maintained Magnet through four consecutive appraisal cycles. Recognizing quality patient care, nursing excellence, and innovations in professional nursing practices, designation as a Magnet organization is the highest national recognition granted to a hospital or medical center for excellence in nursing. Children’s Medical Center Dallas and Children’s Medical Center Plano have proudly received the system’s fourth Magnet designation, maintained since 2009.

Children’s Medical Center Dallas, is consistently named as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report. We are ranked in 11 specialties - Behavioral Health, Cancer, Cardiology & Heart Surgery, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Urology.

The USA Today Top Workplaces USA awards honor the top midsize and large organizations across the country. In 2024, outstanding team member feedback about the culture at Children’s Health secured our organization the top position of 42 listed hospitals and health systems across the country. Children’s Health was also named the best employer in Texas out of 172 companies in all industries by USA Today.

Dallas Regional Chamber Best Place for Working Parents
Plus, the Dallas Innovator Award
Best Place for Working Parents™ Dallas is presented by the Dallas Regional Chamber and PNC Bank. Launched in 2021, the initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of family-friendly benefits and policies for employers and workers. Children’s Health has maintained the designation since 2022 by offering family-friendly benefits including parental leave, childcare assistance and backup childcare support.
In 2022, Children’s Health also received the exclusive Best Place for Working Parents in Dallas Innovator Award, recognizing our exceptional commitment to family-friendly practices in the workplace.

Research Leader in employee engagement
In 2024, Children’s Health was recognized as an Exceptional Workplace by Gallup for the third year in a row. Gallup has been a research leader in employee engagement for over 50 years and partners with over 1,000 organizations around the world. Less than 5% of Gallup's clients are recognized with this honor.
