Student Internships
Children’s Health℠ Workforce Development programs offer students a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in a leading health care environment. With our summer internship that spans the course of 8 to 10 weeks, interns support clinical and nonclinical departments through meaningful work assignments and process improvement projects that make a lasting impact. In addition, our work-study partnerships with Cristo Rey Dallas and Paul Quinn College inspire students to move beyond their daily routines, engage with dynamic learning opportunities at Children’s Health and expand their knowledge in meaningful ways.
These programs are designed to help students explore potential careers in health care while building professional skills that translate beyond the classroom. Interns are immersed in daily operations of one of the nation’s top pediatric health systems and encouraged to contribute innovative ideas and fresh perspectives. Through hands-on learning, mentorship and collaboration, the Summer Internship Program prepares students to become compassionate, capable professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children and families.
At Children’s Health, our mission guides every aspect of the internship experience. We recognize that the culture and environment we cultivate, the different voices around the table and the consideration of every person and every experience empower us to better care for, advocate for and represent the more than 300,000 unique patients we have the privilege of serving each year.
