Back to school with food allergies
One of the biggest stressors for parents is sending their child to school when they have a food allergy because parents know eating is unavoidable at school. Preparation and collaboration are the two key elements to keeping your child safe at school.
Collaboration is essential to working with school staff. Remember they want to keep your child as safe as you do. If you can develop a positive relationship with the staff, they will be more willing to tailor your child’s experience at school. It is important to talk them through all of your child’s need in addition to giving them everything in writing.
