Biography

Abha Choudhary, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist at Children’s Health℠. She cares for children diagnosed with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, growth disorders, intersex disorders and thyroid conditions. She is an Associate Professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Choudhary earned her medical degree at Christian Medical College, where she also completed a residency in pediatrics. She completed a second residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Weill Cornell Medical College.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Choudhary teaches medical students and physicians-in-training how to identify and care for children with endocrine disorders. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics.

“Though I care for patients with many different endocrine conditions, the treatment plan for each child and family is unique and personalized,” says Dr. Choudhary. “I am passionate about the health and well-being of each child and my goal is to help each patient achieve better health and quality of life, long-term.”

Dr. Choudhary participates in research and clinical trials to continuously improve the treatment of diabetes in children. Her research and case studies have been published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism.

Dr. Choudhary is a member of the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Choudhary lives in Frisco with her husband and 2 children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
