Biography

Srisindu Vellanki, M.D., is board-certified in general pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and works with children and families at Children’s Health℠. Dr. Vellanki is also an Assistant Professor in Department of Pediatrics at at UT Southwestern. She says she is passionate about her profession because she “gets to treat a wide variety of conditions and symptoms from acute (short-term) to chronic (life-long) conditions, allowing me to build long-term relationships with my patients and their families. I get to know them over time as they grow up. It is very rewarding to see kids evolve and take charge of their health, and I love being a part of that process.”

I try not to just look at a patient’s current GI symptom but also how their lifestyle, diet, sleep, relationships and emotions may affect their symptoms and overall health.
