Patient Rights and Responsibilities
Children’s Health℠ affirms each patient’s right to receive care delivered in a considerate, respectful, dignified and comforting manner. As a parent, guardian or authorized representative of a patient at Children’s Health, you have the right to receive information about your rights and the hospital’s policies related to those rights.
Email Encryption
When you choose to receive information about your child's medical condition by email, we understand the need to guard your privacy and information. Children’s uses an encryption process to ensure the highest level of privacy and security protections of your child's medical information. Encryption is the process of transforming regular text into something unreadable to anyone but the intended recipient, who has the ability to "decrypt" it.

SMS Terms of Service
Children's Health℠ Mobile Messaging provides patients and patient families with a convenient way to interact with Children’s Health System of Texas and its affiliate as listed here. Messages include appointment reminders and other updates related to patient care, experience and related services with our organization.
MyChart Terms of Use
MyChart is a secure online service provided by Children's Health℠ through which a patient or patient’s parent/legal guardian can obtain limited patient medical information. MyChart is accessible through this site (the "Site") and the mobile app (the “App”). The Site and the App are referred to collectively herein as the "MyChart Services" for purposes of these MyChart Terms of Use. Learn more about the terms of use.
Medical Records Request
Many records can be requested through MyChart at no charge. If you are not able to request copies of your child’s medical records through MyChart or do not have a MyChart account, you may submit a request in person, by mail or fax. A copy fee may be applied for this type of request.
