Seacrest Studios - Children's Health
Seacrest Studios is an interactive space inside Children’s Medical Center Dallas where young patients can explore the creative aspects of radio, television and new media.
What is Seacrest Studios?
Established by the Ryan Seacrest Foundation in 2012, the studio give patients the chance to learn, explore and play interactive games while entertainment programs are broadcast throughout the hospital via the Children’s Health Red Balloon Network.
Seacrest Studios is also a popular venue for celebrities, artists and other performers who want to visit with and provide entertainment to our patients. The studio also features an adjacent courtyard where visitors can watch or listen to activities going on inside.
The ultimate purpose of the studio is to provide a better experience for our patients and their families, a sense of normalcy or a welcome distraction while they’re dealing with an illness.
In fact, the studio ends up being a virtual playroom for children. Patients discover how to cope with their hospitalization, learn more about the hospital environment and connect with other children who are experiencing similar situations.
As a Children’s Health℠ patient family member, you can ask for more information on how Seacrest Studios and the Red Balloon Network can enrich your child’s stay and how your child can get involved. Your care team is always available to answer questions and provide more information.
