Shannon Couffer

Shannon Couffer serves as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Children’s Health. With more than two decades of legal and health care leadership experience, Shannon oversees litigation strategy, risk financing and compliance operations and plays a key role in overseeing the organization’s legal, risk and insurance portfolios. Her background includes executive roles at Baylor Scott & White Health and Walgreens, where she led legal operations and strategic initiatives. She holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago, an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s in nursing from St. Mary’s College. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Illinois.
