Child Life

Celebrating 50 years in 2024, the Child Life Department at Children’s Health℠ continues to work alongside the medical staff to ensure a positive experience for our patients and families. Our goals align with the needs of those we work with daily in the hope of making life better for children.

Children's Health Dallas and Children's Health Plano have a combined team of over 120 members including child life specialists, child life assistants, team leaders, program coordinators, music therapists, technology specialists, and PRN staff.

The Pet Therapy Program offers the benefits of pet-assisted therapy and the comforts of home through our facility dogs and volunteer therapy animals.

Adaptive Care Program

The Adaptive Care Program team works to enhance the health care experience of neurodiverse children through adjustments and adaptations to promote positive coping and productive health care encounters

Therapeutic Arts Program

The Therapeutic Arts Program at Children’s Health is designed to support patients and families during their hospital experience using creative art modalities

Pet-Assisted Therapy

Our therapy dogs provide comfort to patients who are coping with an unfamiliar environment or challenging situation
