The Karahan Family Resources Library is named in honor of the Karahan family who sought to make a difference through the power of knowledge. Thanks to their generous gift, families now have access to resources that help them research their children’s diagnoses and treatment options.
From infants to adults, our collection of books, magazines, and more for all levels and interests at both our Dallas and Plano campus libraries. Visit the library or bookmobile near you, take part in story time or library programs, borrow books during your stay in the hospital or select a book to take home!
During your stay at Children’s Health, you may need to check email, catch up on work and school assignments or research health information - and we are here to help. Laptops may be borrowed, depending on availability, while your child is a hospital patient. Some locations have public computers, copying, printing, and faxing.
Medical librarians are available to help find patient health resources. Browse our collection of health topics or request a health literacy session for help researching information on a recent diagnosis or treatment plan.
Children’s Health clinical staff are supported in part by dedicated clinical research librarians. This includes assisting staff research within nursing, physical or occupational therapy, spiritual care, clinical dietary, child life, or other health care professional involved in patient care.
