Pediatric preventative care and immunizations
Children need primary health care not only when they are sick, but also to prevent them from getting sick. Our primary care providers serve as a patient-centered medical home, where your child can be cared for during times of illness and receive preventive care.
From immunizations and well-child exams to treatment for illnesses and minor emergencies, we provide care during all stages of a child’s development.
In addition to comprehensive evaluation and treatment of pediatric illnesses, we also provide the following preventive care services:
- Immunizations
- Well-child exams
- Sports physicals
- School physicals
- Asthma management
- Nutrition counseling
Our primary care office is open to all children and accept most forms of insurance, including Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Please note: Immunization records are provided at no charge to the patient. A release form must be completed in our office before we can release these records. You may also view your child's immunization records via MyChart.
Vaccinations for international travel
If your child is traveling outside the United States, he or she may need certain vaccines to help prevent catching diseases that are more common in other countries. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended children receive certain vaccinations, including one for malaria, before traveling.
One new way we are extending our mission to make life better for children into the community is offering travel medicine services in our primary care location two days a month.
People up to age 21 can come in and get required immunizations before visiting other countries for reasons like mission trips, sports tournaments or just personal travel.
