School Services

Providing patients and their families options for maintaining schoolwork and grades while receiving care
When a child has an illness, is in the hospital or is returning home, it is important that they continue with an many normal activities as possible. This includes school. The School Services department at Children’s Health℠ provides help for your child so they can keep up with their school needs. Our goal is to partner with you and your child to make sure they keep up with their grades.
Texas requires all children to attend school starting at the age of 5. Children’s Health can help make sure your child does not lose any school time due to an illness.
We offer school support for our patients through local school districts, on all campuses. This is offered to both, patients in the hospital and those in one of our outpatient specialty centers.
