Biography

Andrew Golboro, Au.D., is an audiologist with Children’s Health℠. He cares for children of all ages who have hearing and balance disorders.

Audiologists specialize in providing diagnostic, rehabilitative and other services for conditions that affect hearing and balance. They use tests to diagnose and treat these problems using techniques such as hearing aids or hearing rehabilitation. They also work closely with ear, nose and throat physicians (otolaryngologists) to care for the medical causes of hearing problems.

Dr. Golboro earned his doctorate in audiology, with magna cum laude distinction, from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in hearing and speech sciences from the University of Maryland, where he also graduated magna cum laude.

Dr. Golboro specializes in hearing aid evaluations, fits hearing aids using verification measures and offers continual care for patients with hearing aids. He also administers audiological and electrophysiological tests to evaluate the cause and extent of a patient’s hearing loss. For people who experience dizziness and balance issues, Dr. Golboro conducts vestibular testing to investigate the portions of the inner ear relating to balance. He also counsels patients regarding better communication strategies.

Dr. Golboro is a faculty associate at UT Southwestern in the Otolaryngology and Audiology Departments.

When not helping patients, Dr. Golboro enjoys rock climbing, ultimate Frisbee and aerial acrobatics.
