Biography

Halima Janjua, M.D., is a pediatric nephrologist at Children’s Health℠ and Associate Professor at UT Southwestern. She has a wide variety of clinical interests including chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, nephrotic syndrome, kidney stones, congenital kidney disorders and kidney transplant

Dr. Janjua earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical College in Pakistan. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital of Michigan and her pediatric nephrology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

“I believe in a strong patient-physician relationship, effective communication and involving patients in their own health care decisions,” says Dr. Janjua.

Her research interests include congenital anomalies of the kidneys, kidney transplants and high blood pressure in children. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. Dr. Janjua is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, American Society of Transplantation and the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium.

Dr. Janjua enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her loved ones.
