Objectives:
Present an illustrative example of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) in a family diagnosed in the proband by extra-intestinal manifestations.
Recognize the extra-intestinal manifestations of FAP and various ways it can present.
Describe the role of a pediatric pathologist in the diagnosis and the management of FAP, with emphasis on awareness of the extra-intestinal manifestations of FAP.
Describe the management considerations for patients with FAP, highlighting multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of FAP and importance of collaboration and communication between various subspecialties.

Review the definitions of BIPOC and racial disproportionality vs. racial disparities in the child welfare system
Review the foundations of structural racism overlaid with implicit bias on the experience of BIPOC families in the child welfare system
Reflect on bias in the field of child protection and envision ways to mitigate its effect on these families through case review
