Pediatric Vomiting and Nausea

Vomiting occurs when food is "thrown up" out of the stomach. Nausea is an uneasy, sick-to-the-stomach feeling a child has in response to a number of conditions or causes.


What is Pediatric Vomiting and Nausea?

Nausea is often described as a queasy, sick feeling in the pit of the stomach. It may or may not lead to vomiting, which happens when food or liquid comes back out of the stomach. It can also accompany other illnesses, like bacterial or viral infections, and have additional symptoms, like fever.
