How can parents talk to their children about bullying?

Parents often want to know the best way to talk to their kids about bullying. In this video, Celia Heppner, Psy.D., clinical psychologist at Children’s Health℠, shares tips for keeping lines of communication open about the topic.

Heppner suggests parents ask open-ended questions and talk to children about bullying before it ever happens. Parents can give examples of types of bullying, suggest responses kids can give if bullying does occur and share how they will support their children if they are being bullied.
